The genesis of the K.V:- The Vidyalaya was running as a branch of KV AFS Jorhat till 2002. In 2003 the Vidyalaya was generated as an independent unit of KVS. |

Important milestones of growth :- In the beginning the Vidyalaya was upto Class X till 2005. Due to untiring efforts of NEIST (RRL) Jorhat and the then principal Dr VP Mishra the Vidyalaya was upgraded to Class XII Science in 2005-06. |

Gradual year wise expansion in classes and sections leading to present status :- i) 2003 to 2005 - upto class X. (Single Section) : ii) 2006 onwards - Class XII (Single Section) |

Details of previous and new campus :-The Vidyalaya is running in a temporary building provided by NEIST (RRL) Jorhat; the Sponsoring Authority. The matter of land transfer in between NEIST (RRL) Jorhat; the Sponsoring Authority and KVS is under process. |

Facilities available including games and sports facilities :- The Vidyalaya is having facilities for Volley Ball and Kho-Kho only due to lack of its own play ground. |
The climatic conditions are hot and wet in Summers and cold winters. The humidity in the atmoshpere is too high and various facilities can be availed in the District Jorhat itself.
